LABORATORIES

A TRADITION OF INNOVATION

Labs pose unique challenges involving highly specialized systems. We know from experience.

ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵbegan building laboratories in 1943 with the Los Alamos National Laboratory; in 1964, we delivered the beam switch yard to the Stanford Linear Accelerator; and today we construct some of the nation’s most efficient, flexible, cutting-edge laboratories and hospitals—including five of the nation’s most recognized workhorse laboratory facilities for higher education. Through integrated CMAR and design-build deliveries, we anticipate problems and bring sophisticated solutions to the table.

THE RIGHT FORMULA

Lab projects require teams that understand their evolving and multi-dimensional nature.

Solving for the modern challenges of vast informatics, energy, new material sciences, bioengineering, and population health, today’s laboratory must also respond to the proliferation of new research instruments, collecting ever-larger volumes of data. To be successful, a facility must be as adaptive, flexible, and programmatically diverse as the teams that design and construct it.

Through advanced modeling that reveals the effects of every design choice, we help our clients create world-class facilities that contribute to scientific advancement as well as environmental health.
